Free Herpes Disclosure Webinar
May 23, 2025 | 7:00–8:30pm CST (with optional support and Q&A until 9pm)
Description:
To honor the sixth anniversary of Something Positive for Positive People becoming a nonprofit, I’m hosting a free virtual webinar just for people living with herpes. This is a space where we can talk about disclosure—when to do it, how to do it in a way that feels right for you, and how to care for yourself emotionally before and after the conversation.
This webinar is open only to people with herpes. It’s not about one-size-fits-all advice. I’ll guide you through real conversations and practical support, not myths, scripts, or stigma-based language. You’ll leave feeling more prepared and connected.
You’ll learn:
The best time to disclose to a potential partner
How to disclose in a way that’s true to you
How to regulate your nervous system before and after the talk
Strategies for self-care after disclosure
What to Expect:
This will be a live Zoom session led by me
I’ll share practical tools, real talk, and journaling prompts
There will be optional role-play and opportunities to ask questions or practice sharing
You’ll be invited to stay for a supportive after-session for a half hour for Q&A, connection, and community support
Replay Access:
If you register and attend live, it’s free with optional donation
Replay will be available to registrants for the weekend only
After that, access will only be available behind a paywall
